Shop Spotlight: Society Inc.

Today I'm spotlighting my friend, April's shop on Etsy.  April is a genius when it comes to finding mid-century modern furniture.  She also updates/re-upholsters some of the chairs she finds.  She has AMAZING taste and seems to always be able to track down these beauties!  Please go visit her Etsy site at society inc. and check out these gorgeous items that are currently for sale! Enjoy!

Saturday Shop Spotlight: atstuart/obelisk

I discovered this Etsy shop a few weeks ago and have loved everything in it! Mostly because of their simple design and that they make things out of concrete, which is one of my most favorite materials of all time! Like I've said before, I am a grey girl and I love modern, simple lines and these guys have them both! Anywhere from concrete hooks to planters to floating shelves.  I will definitely be using some of their creations when we build/remodel a home.  Concrete looks beautiful with dark woods (which is one of my other top materials!) and everything in this shop is AMAZING!

Here's their "bio" from Etsy:

obelisk is an innovative, family-owned, design group offering fine concrete decor and more. We are concrete artisans, print makers, photographers, carpenters, painters, crafters and designers. We are two brothers who work out of a 3600 sq. ft. of a turn-of-the-last-century neighborhood bakery in The Pioneer Valley and an even older barn on the Mid-coast of Maine.
When not renovating our charming bakery, making theatre, or installing custom concrete counters and sinks, we are here offering hand made art and objects that feed the soul and fill the home. All of our wares are hand-formed, hand printed or hand made.
W e are inspired by anything steeped with history, age or patina; objects and design from the machine age, old New England Mills, vintage industrial, nature, old French guesthouses, the Maine coast, The Pacific Northwest, modern design and simple functional art...

And here are some of my favorites from their shop.  I hope you stop by their Etsy shop and find something you have to have for your home! Just click here and Enjoy!

Saturday Shop Spotlight: Urge Studio

This week's shop spotlight is on Urge Studio, a Pittsburg based Etsy shop that has an eclectic mix of vintage finds.  Their motto is: an inspired moment creates a spontaneous urge.  I have featured a few of their items in previous blog posts but I love so many of their finds that I just had to feature the shop itself! I know you'll find something you love at urgestudio! Enjoy!

Saturday Shop Spotlight: Debbie Carlos

This week's Shop Spotlight is Debbie Carlos from Etsy.  Debbie is Chicago-based and specializes in posters and prints.  I have chosen a few (ok, more than a few) of my favorites from her shop. You can purchase any of these on her Etsy shop at debbiecarlos

I LOVE nature and mountains and clouds and pretty much everything she has that comes as a poster.  Her technique is great as well as her paper choice.  These are definitely on my list to buy.  Well done Debbie! Y'all enjoy!

Saturday Shop Spotlight: Appetite Home

I'm adding this feature to my blog by presenting a new shop from Etsy (and maybe a few other places every once in a while) that I love! I have come across so many shops online where I could see myself literally buying one of every item they sell! That could be dangerous and I think the husband would get rid of my computer at that point, but still, I am wanting to show some love and support to these amazing shops! Well done! Enjoy this every Saturday!

This week's shop is an Etsy one called Appetite Home. This is a shop out of Oregon where she hand prints and hand makes home wares with beautiful designs! I love this shop because I would love to be able to take my drawings and learn the screen-printing/hand-printing trade one day to see my art come alive on different objects. But that is still on the "some day" list.

I have a whole list of her dishtowels and potholders that I would like to buy to bring some great colors and designs into my kitchen. My pet peeve for a long time has been the lack of unique potholders (and modern ones!) so we are actually still using my husband's ugly blue ones that he had before we were married. I am waiting for the day when I get to put in my Etsy order for these beauties (see below) and I might throw in a couple of her gorgeous pillows while I'm at it! Love, love, love it all!!
