FEATURED FABRIC

I will be spotlighting a fabric that I love weekly.  Sometimes it'll be a fabric that I intend to use for card design or baby clothing, but it may be fabric that I just love for personal use.  I may be thinking, "Ooh! I want to make a pillow out of this!" or I'm undecided (except for loving it!) But I'll figure it out someday!

Today's featured fabric is by Anna Maria Horner's Little Folks Collection.  It's a voile so it's light and a little transparent.
Color: baby bouquet

I LOVE the colors that Anna Maria used. First off, I'm a grey girl so using that as a background is my favorite! I can't get enough of that deep peacock/teal paired with greens, pinks and yellows.  It's dark but with splashes of really saturated colors.  Perfect balance! I would love to make some curtains out of this one day- may using some color blocking? There are so many choices as far as pairing envelopes: I've used curry, moss, chartreuse and smoke to pair with some cards I've already made with this darling fabric!

These cards and many more are available on my website:

Fun Photo Shoot

I took these photos in my friend's back yard- simple, practical and
what can be better than a natural backdrop already created for you!
I'm having a blast trying new angles and
letting the photographer inside take over!

The full set- all together!
What better way to say "I love you" thank with Handmade!
Outside where it belongs...
Fabric-vellum envelopes- look beautiful in the sun!
There's something about a great orange and teal combo...
Some of my favorites!
Why buy a super cute card and send it in a yucky plain white envelope?

I have to shoot outdoors- I just have to!

This is one of my all-time favorite fabrics by
Joel Dewberry! Here I used it for my classic
fabric bird silhouette card. It reminds me of
Springtime. I'm starting to have a lot of fun
with my new Nikon!
